I've seen You move You move the mountains And I believe I'll see You do it again You made a way When there was no way And I believe I'll see You do it again - Do It Again
Where do you feel like God has forgotten you? Where are you waiting for God and it feels like he’s taking too long to answer? Where are you sitting on the shore looking for the boats? This is a life of waiting. Waiting at times that feels like God has forgotten us. And sometimes we can be tempted to get so jaded that God’s promises feel laughable. But even in the face of our faithlessness, the reason to walk this path is because we have one bedrock expectant hope: He will keep His promises. Will you wait for Him? http://bit.ly/2NGOavJ
This past Sunday, we loved hearing Hannah Brown talk about her work! It's always a gift to gain a glimpse into what keeps our church family busy when we're not together. This Sunday, we've got a special surprise in store. Here are some hints: It's cold, salty, and shady. Any ideas? SEE YOU SOON!
Faith involves a lot of waiting that can at times feel like you’ve been forgotten. Even King David, a man after God’s own heart, felt this way as we see in Psalm 13: “How long, Oh LORD, will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?”
Your plans are still to prosper You have not forgotten us You're with us in the fire and the flood You're faithful forever Perfect in love You are sovereign over us - Sovereign Over Us
If you take up life with God, you will have to wait for Him. And when you wait on God’s promises, you WILL - not you might, not you could - You WILL feel forgotten. It’s clear that Abraham and Sarah felt that way again and again. When you actually believe that nothing is too hard for God, that God can deliver when He chooses, and when He doesn’t do it on your timetable, it can feel like He’s forgotten you. It will happen. Don’t be surprised. It’s not that you’ve lost your faith. It’s a part of learning what faith is all about when God calls you to walk with Him into the unknown and makes you wait for the answer. http://bit.ly/2NGOavJ
Is anything too hard for the Lord? Is anything too hard or wonderful or incredible for Him? We know the “correct” answer: “No! Nothing is too hard for God.” But if we’re honest, sometimes it’s really hard to believe. When the question is posed to the seemingly impossible situations in our lives, our doubts come knocking. It’s one thing to say, “Of course nothing is impossible for God.” It’s an entirely different thing to live it out in the trenches of our spiritual warfare. Through the story of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 18, we are given a glimpse of what to expect when you live this out over a lifetime. http://bit.ly/2NGOavJ
Cultivate Community Picnic 👩 | “To Flourish” Exhibition 🎨 - https://mailchi.mp/christcommunitykc/cultivate-community-picnic-to-flourish-exhibition
If the audience you choose determines the life you live, why God? Here’s why: Only the God of the Bible can make you whole. This is His invitation. Intimacy with Him that produces integrity. Because if we are living before Him, caught up in Him, we can become whole. We can become all that He intended us to be. This is what He offers and what He does in us when we make Him our audience of One. Don’t you want that? http://bit.ly/2NGOavJ
I am chosen Not forsaken I am who You say I am You are for me Not against me I am who You say I am
We all have an audience. We all hunger for someone’s approval. Whether at home, work or school, before our friends, family, or even complete strangers, we’re living our lives in front of someone. Who is your audience? Whose attention and approval do you crave? The audience you choose determines the life you live. http://bit.ly/2NGOavJ
To all the fathers and fathering hearts. Happy Father's Day! We're grateful for you.

Your suffering is never invisible to God. No matter who you are or what you’re wrestling with. No matter what the cause of your suffering or sadness or loneliness is. Whether you brought the suffering on yourself, or you’ve suffered at the hands of others. You are not invisible to the God who sees. The God of the Bible is the God who finds you. Hears you. Sees you. Knows you. He sees you now. He sees you in your desperation and your joy, your loneliness and your longings. You are never invisible. http://bit.ly/2XOQ3bK
"Why do we have such an adverse reaction to the idea of being ordinary or doing ordinary things? Maybe it’s because we have such high expectations placed upon us by our parents, neighbors, coaches, bosses, and even pastors. "I wonder if in all of our talk of being extraordinary and accomplishing extraordinary things we have lost sight of the fact that God does indeed love the ordinary. I think there is something God sees as beautiful and good in the seemingly ordinary parts of our lives. After all, Jesus lived out the majority of His life in the obscurity of ordinary life." I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul. - Psalm 31:7

The city of Babel in Genesis 11 reveals an arrogant community unified in development but toward destructive ends. Today we’re going to do some cultural exegesis of our day with the help of Jarret Meek from Mission Adelante. Where do we see our city and nation trying to make a name for itself? Where do we need to join in with God’s calling and work to impact our city’s trajectory? Join us as we explore these timely questions.

In Genesis 4, God’s warning to Cain about sin should be a caution to us all. What does it mean that “sin is crouching at the door”, and more importantly, how do we fight against it? Listen in as Andrew Campbell and Darin Lund discuss their own strategies for battling against sin.
This should be a boom time for sex, but recent research indicates that people are having sex less frequently than ever. Why might this be? Could it be that our culture’s offer of all the benefits of unlimited sexual freedom is a classic example of “over promise, under deliver”? The surprising truth is that sex is God’s good idea, and He knows how it works best. (Reid Kapple and Paul Brandes)
